David.......my experience with pertronix on 6-volts is NOT a happy experience. Gitta REAL 12V roundcan coil like NAPA IC14 ...or... buy pertronix coil for 12-volts. DO NOT BUY a 6-volt pertronix, they quit working atta-bout 5.5 volts (ittza solid state transistor thing) and when you hit yer starter motor guess what yer 6-volt battery drops down to??? Just when you need HOT sparkies, you got NO sparkies. .......Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
