I have 2008 Deutz Fahr. They have safety switches in different places on different models. The one I have now has a switch for the clutch pedal and one on the 5 speed shifter stick.None on the speed selector shifter. Either one not made it'll do the same as what you are having. There's also a switch for the seat but I never tested to see if it would keep from starting. I will check that next time I start it to verify.
Another model I had(smaller) had stop and go feature and had to press the clutch pedal, brake pedal and have the gear shift out of gear. I would start looking at those switches. The agroplus 87 I had did have the switch on the brake pedal go bad. The Agrofarm 100 I have now hasn't presented any problems so far. Hope you can get a manual soon.
If you have shuttle it might also need to be in N before starting but the Deutz Fahrs don't.
