Have you tried to bleed the air from any of the lines? I bleed my Long lift at the valve located under the left side of the seat where the oil line goes into the lift. The nut has only 2 flat sides. Crack it open a little until a little oil begins to seep out. I have primed the steering after working on it by jacking up the front of the tractor and turning the steering wheel back and forth to help push air out of the cylinder. Make sure the tractor will not roll. I speed it up to 1200-1500 or so rpms to speed the pump. The filters can be cleaned and reused. Also, on the right front of the lift, there is a lever adjustment called the responsive adjustment. It can speed up or slow the lift speed of the lift. Might need to open it a bit too.
