Hey there...does it have a delco generator? If so there is a screw on the back between two of the brushes, loosen it up and slide the brushes closer togather, this will increase the voltage, this is what you want. you want it putting out more than battery voltage, what i mean by that is. if your gen is only putting out 6v it cant fill you 8v battery. it may already be able to do this. you will have to check. I wouldn't want you battery over 9.5 v you may not have to mess with the regulator. to check output of the gen disconnect the wires, put a voltmeter on A and ground F. DO NOT DO THIS FOR AN EXTENED PERIOD OF TIME. there will be smoke. and dollar bill falling out of wallet. this is max gen output.
