That is the going rate for a used later style 4wd unit. The early ones will take a lot more messing with to get mounted. They where single speed and you want the two speed one. Also I am not sure the one out from under the large rotor machines will work either.
They go in cycles around here. We will have a wet year or two and everyone wants one. Then we have several years of dry weather and no one wants one until the next wet spell. I have had them hurt the sale of a combine before. I think this is crazy but some guys don't like them on a machine. I have one on both the combines I own. The boy's JD 9660 is getting one installed right now. I found one at a dealer friend that had it. We are doing all the switching and paying $10,000. We are getting all the lines, valves and attaching parts this way. Just buying one from a bone yard will leave you still needing a lot of little things that cost serious money to buy new.
Call around to dealers that show a combine with one in areas that usually do not sell them. You maybe able to get a better deal that way.
