George, Sound like a knowledgable man, who has worked on air conditioners. We finally located a capacitor that will work for us thru Surplus Center, they are shipping it,should be here by end of week. In the mean time,getting a 8k unit and using this one as a spare when it's fixed.It was a Menards brand that lasted from 2006-2013.Not to bad,but not like from years ago. When I was at Sears parts, we kept heaters for A/C that froze up, little square units that fit on the back of the coil and was wired in to the circuit,kept frost off of them.Some of the heaters kept the units running all the time. Today's Featured Article - Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
