I'll second what Hoof print said. Condition is critical with old guns and I would certainly get as many opinions as possible. There are several publications of gun values, but they all are based on a grade scale and it takes a knowledgeable person to determine the grade. I would prefer to get as many opinions as I could. If it was your grandfather's, it is impossible to put a number on the sentimental value though. My brother and I have several guns that were our late grandfather's and great-grandfather's. They are nothing special and of no great worth, but mean a lot to us. We use and enjoy them like we would be expected to do.
