worked on the hot-shot trailer today with the brake problem. tow vehicle is a new dodge with factory controller. if this thing sees a prob. it shuts down & gives off a warning beep [driver said he had to listen to that thing for a few miles limping home lol] I did the usually visual check for wiring rubs. etc. hooked up to external power supply [my batt.charger] pulling enough current to kick breaker in charger. I put the power to it a couple of times as long as I dared, went back under axles & smell it @ one of the wheels. disconnect & everything starts to work-others pulling amps within specs. turned it back over to owner, they are replacing magnet--[supposedly all were new-pinched wire or defect?] anyhow, thanks to all on the board for advice-
