Well without any labor the parts alone could easily be $4500-7500. Depends on how long the turbo has been on it. Also depends on your definition of "overhaul". If it is just a sleeve/piston set and bearings then it will be cheaper but it would be like showering and putting your dirty under-ware back on. The cylinder head and valves will need work. The injections pump and injectors should be done too. Then how is the transmission???
Personally I would never buy a JD 4020 that has had a turbo on it. The rest of the tractor is usually shot. The transmission was designed for 90-100 HP. You stick a turbo and turn the pump up to 125-150 HP and everything down stream is worn out way faster.
I have a 1972 JD 4020 I completely tore down to the housings and started back out with new parts on all worn items. I have double in parts alone compared to what he is asking for his. I also have a "new" 100 HP tractor for less than a 1/3 of the money.
So not to be smart about it it all depends on what you want to do.

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
