Its just as bad if not worse here in Florida. Just get on I 4 between Tampa and Orlando. We call it the east west parking lot. Want to have some fun just try to get through the Disney World area on a holiday. The area I live in was mainly two lane roads and orange groves but not anymore US 98 is being expanded to 6 lanes just 200 yards from my house. I hate driving anywhere any more. Drove one of our tractors over to my fathers the other day so he could use to mow at his church. Thought I was going to get run over before I got there. Would not let him drive it a mile down the road went back and got the trailer. But I live on a piece of ground that's been in my family since before WW 2 so I guess I'll stick it out
