JD, despite your occasional misspellings and grammatical errors I consider you to be one of the most literate posters on this forum. Not only do you have a very broad range of knowledge and understanding, you have the gift to boil a complex story down to an easy-to-follow, interesting and entertaining narrative---and that is a gift. We all hope you keep these stories coming. You're right---as long as we know what you're saying, perfect grammar should be no big deal.
That said, there is one thing I am curious about: you consistently use the word "where" instead of the word "were". I've noticed that some of the other midwestern guys do that as well. Is that a regional thing? As a language guy, I'm just wondering. Comment, anyone?
