With all these posts complaining about rain, I have to say there is another alternative. Through the spring we had timely rains, never any huge toad stranglers but enough to keep the ground wet and keep us out of the fields. Corn and beans are 30 days behind and the faucet got shut off the second week of June. It has turned hot and dry and the corn is curling, a lot of beans in the area range from 2-8" in height. 100 degrees with 20mph wind forecast today. There is rain forecast this evening. Don't forget to see the silver lining in those clouds.
