Mark: The expansion valve is inside the system. You have to dump the freon to service/replace it. I do not think that is your issue. I am still betting that the air system is plugged up.
The condenser core is in front of the radiator. It needs to be clean so the air can flow through it. Also the radiator and hydraulic cooler need to be clean too. The air flows through the whole stack.
I know that the NH TM190 has cab filters as I have found them for sale on the Internet but I am not sure where they are located on the tractor. Your operators manual should tell you. If not call your local dealer.
You need to clean things first then see if anything is actually wrong. If you have never cleaned the filters and such I would bet that is your problem. Your tractor is relatively new so the freon should be OK.
Have you serviced the engine air filters??? May be the time to do a complete maintenance job on the tractor.
