76/7700 rear ends as Ford applications always had load monitors although that may not be the case in a County application... Other external differences.... the x600 chassis will have an external hydraulic oil filter above the main hydraulic pump. The 5000 will only have an internal suction strainer. The only real practical difference is that the 7600 should have an extra brake plate on each side and a 540/1000 stub shaft PTO vs the fixed 540 shaft on the 5x00 tractors. Otherwise the axle is basically identical as far as I know...

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
