Most years, our corn is only 5 to 6 feet high. Heck, my yard is usually brown by now, but this has been a good year with rain coming at the right times. That's why the corn is so high this year.
As far as yield is concerned, i have no idea and i'll bet dollars to donuts that the farmer wont give a acurate bpa. Probably don't want the landowners to do the math. I should have taken some pictures of the alfalfa fields. It wont be long before 3rd cutting. According to the weather guessers, its supposed to get close to 100 degrees most of next week, with t-storms predicted almost everyday.

The resources from those hay burners in the pics go on our fields all winter long and some guys bale their stalks.
