I was going to let my down alfalfa hay lay for another day. I checked it this morning about eight and the stems were cured on top and under they were still green. After checking a breeze came up so I decided to roll it up so the hot breeze could blow thru it. I had it all raked by eleven and thought I might be able to bale late this afternoon or this evening. Went up to the factory to check on things and when I got back the flag hung down without a wiggle. No breeze all afternoon. Just rechecked and the outside would be ready to go but the inside didn't get close. Looks like we have two more days for it to soak up the sun and heat. Probly workout fine but will be sun bleached. I see several loads of almost brown hay today that has not had a drop of rain. I feed all of mine but those horse people that want purty green hay will not want to by this weeks hay.
