Yup I got a call like that on July 10th. It was the chaplain at Geisinger medical center. My son had just been life flighted in with serious injuries after high siding off his Honda in a right hand turn at about 30 MPH. He spent 4 days in ICU, 2 days in an induced coma due to serious brain bruising and 3 broken ribs. No doubt his helmet saved his life. He's now in medical inhouse rehab for a couple weeks until we're sure he can remember if he took a shower that morning and not fall doing it. He'll be awhile recovering, but the doctors are saying he'll be in good shape in time except for the hearing in his left ear which they are not as certain about. Never take loved ones for granted.
