Guys, Larry Asked our Opinion! I said my response would p!ss off a bunch of folks too! The 8N, DID and Was a major step forward in agriculture. The 8n put the team of horses, mules, oxen to pasture!!! It Doubled and Some the amt of Work, plowing done in a day by virtue of 2 bottoms compared to the 1 bottom the team pulled. and didn't need to be rested or feed! In 2013 there are still waayy too many better choices of tractor to keep as a primary or secondary tractor !!! Not a 8N, IMO the 8N is still used by lots of folks for various duties fro raking hay, some baler work and Garden, or truck farming operation, Kept there for various reasons. I say it"s now best work is Parade Duty! But when there are many, many other tractor with loaders, hydraulics, LPTO, PS, and better tranny options, Why KEEP IT unless it was Dads, G_Dads, or other realities, or close family friends! MY Position! Later, John A.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
