I have this set up on my 850 Ford, it has an Impco Model J Vaporizer, the flex hose with the fitting for a common 30lb tank. Coolant circulates through the vaporizer. Same in principle, but different than the factory arrangement. It is not complicated, but I am not sure plumbing wise why. With the Impco J on there, its a simple design, so if modifying the existing, they each must give the same result. A 30lb tank may give me 4-5 hours run time at medium throttle, I could run a 40lb tank, but it would be a pain to heft it up over the loader arms and into the cradle, but size wise it would be ideal. You need 2 tanks, that is for sure, 3 is nice, but 2 can suffice, often take the spare with me to change when I know its going to run out. 11 years of this, LP used to be cheap, only way to save on it is have a nurse or bulk tank and fill your own, when I have the tanks filled, they are almost the same as gasoline.
