Your question is not an easy one to research, as you don"t know the specific engine model number. I have 2, six inch thick, Wisconsin Master parts manuals, an older one, and a newer one. Neather shows a Model TJF. They both show a TJD, which is a model where the pistons do not go up in down in pairs, such as the older 2 cylinder engines do, (models,TE,TF,TH. (A "D" suffex indicates a "Heavy Duty" engine with Stellite valves, and valve seats)) There are 2 types of distributors, one mounts on the rear of a generator, which mounts where the Magneto normally would go. The other is for non generator equipped engines, and just mounts on a distributor mount, bolted on the Magneto pad. The two Distributors have different part numbers and, different cap numbers, in the Wisconsin parts book. The distributor model number for a TJD engine is Prestolite # IGB-1001B. A 1991 NAPA ignition parts book shows that cap as NAPA- ECHLIN # AL-157. Good luck in finding one! My NAPA store says that they"re "No longer made", but they may be on e-bay, I haven"t tried that source. I note in the NAPA book a #AL-143 cap listed for Wisconsin AND JOHN DEERE,which may be for the 2 cyl. upright engines such as in models M and MT tractors. I only have one model TJD,out of 12,two cylinder engines here, and purchased a Magneto, in 2010, from Branson Enterprises for $215.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
