WC and WD used the same 201 cu inch block, WD had a stronger governor spring for a bit more speed/hp. All electric start WC had the foot lever to activate the starter. Not a solenoid, just a contact switch, like B, C, WD, WD45, etc. Left side, next to the clutch pedal on the WC. Two speed rear lever (not the traction release lever) could be the Sherman transmission. Fits in the same place between transmission and rear end. I have a wartime WC with the Sherman......three slots.......dunno if it is hi/lo/neutral or ????? Will find out when I get it running. All styled WC had the exhaust up through the hood. Sounds like a BS story, trying to make it "rare".
