Ain"t nothing wrong with having credit cards. We have three, one has a 500 limit that is used exclusively on line. Our main one is used constantly, pays cash back to the tune of $1000.00 last year. We never carry over a balance so there is no interest, no annual fee. Third one we never use, back up for emergencies, no annual. I also have a lowes and one from a tire store that is interest free if paid in 6 months. Credit cards are just another tool that can be used or abused nothing evil about them. If I wanted I could go out and put myself hopelessly in debt in one day. At the present time we are utilizing about 12% of our available credit and have a score ranging from 780 t0 815 depending on the rater, all three of them use slightly different systems. Only problem is that every car dealer and real estate agent in the county stuff our mail box begging us to buy something.
