Nothing going down into the ground. Just two tubes laid flat. The soil around here is high clay content so it sticks in place pretty well. It looks to me like the bottom of the tubes is a bit below the bed of the ditch but it's hard to tell. I was expecting them to lay some rip rap down around the base but it doesn't look like they will. When they started the project I was offering my rock pile to them hoping they would take me up on it and use some of the rocks but they didn't seem interested. In fact they were asking me if I wanted the cement chunks from the old bridge. I politely declined LOL. They hauled the old cement to a crusher as a backhaul when the trucks were on their way to the pit to get sand for the culverts so they had a good home for it. It was two miles out of their way to haul it to the crusher so they didn't lose much. Jim
