My reply was just to add a little to the discussion. I know it was not an answer to your question. I am very familiar with by pass filters as that is about the only kind used up until the mid 50's and even later. Even the ones bolted to the block like on a H or M farmall is nothing more than a bypass filter. My whole point was that hanging a filter on with a clamp and a couple hoses running to it can be trouble some. Never heard of a glass oil filter though so can't help you with your question.
