Sounds a bit like my Thursday. Got up early and watered my hogs and chickens. Hooked up the world's smallest stock trailer and drove up to Mexico, MO for the livestock auction. Got out bid on every single feeder pig they had-some even before I could get the auctioneer's attention. Drove home with an empty trailer (4th time in a week). Went on C-list and figured the high prices they were asking would still be more cost effective than driving to every auction and coming home empty. Found some duroc cross on the list and called him up. Drove 150 miles the other direction to Lamar, MO. Drove home with an empty wallet and a full trailer (10 head). Got in a little before 10 PM. Brother helped me unload and throw 200lbs of feed into the feeder.
Friday morning, I got up early to get the watering done before my VA appointment in Columbia, MO. Discovered one of my older barrows stuck in the mud waller. Pulled him out and laid him in a dry spot to recover. After I got back from the VA, I went down to check on the barrow. Dead as could be. Looks like Monday, I'm gonna get a load of sawdust and see if I can't dry up that waller a bit.
