fixerupper: The few weeds that you see behind me are the results of a GPS failure. What GPS???? GRAY PERSON SYNDROME!!!!! LMAO
I turned the corner here and missed getting the center boom turned back on for about 100 feet. Did not notice it until the beans where really tall. I just hated the thought of running them down so I just will deal with them at harvest.
As far as weed escapes from Round Up??? I am not having very many on my ground. My soybeans are always following corn. In my corn ground I used some Roundup but usually with other chemicals so there are not too many escapes. My biggest weed issue is Giant Rag weed. If they get very tall nothing works very well in controlling them here. This year I was able to spray when they where just real little and it smoked them.
I would think twice about going back to regular soybeans. It is easy to forget how much trouble weed control was in conventional beans in years when you could not get them sprayed at the right times. Several guys around me have tried going back and usually it just lasts a year and they find out the premium that they get does not pencil out to cover the extra work/cost to conventional beans.
