Drug users here in Metro Detroit? Why yes, I've heard we have a few.
A few years ago a couple were bludgeoned to death in their home by a young addict wielding a claw hammer. He had broken into their home looking for cash.
More recently, a kid by the name of Tucker Cipriano killed his father with a baseball bat and left his mother and brother vegetables. He and a friend were trying to rob his parents' home. They were both high on "Spice", a synthetic cannabis that was totally legal at the time and available in convenience stores.

If there's one conclusion to be drawn, it's that what we're doing to combat drug addiction (which really hasn't changed in the past 99 years) isn't working.
