I would imagine, and maybe Ron will fill us in on it, the southern states, things are much earlier, biologically, just the warmer weather occurs, when the northern areas we are used to things happen like rut when the cold temperatures are present, though we do get some warm days, soon as that sun goes down, its usually cool. I last a few hours in my stand in the am and either go off on foot or head back in, usually the latter as I hate pushing them, I'd rather wait til the afternoon and let them, do what they do, wait for one that looks good to take. Last year a long time friend had to come over and take one in miserable weather, his dad made off with most of his venison, so he had to fill his tag quickly or go without, no stand hunting that day would have produced.
