My guess would be that is a factory made buzz saw. I would also guess that it would mount to the front of the tractor with mounting brackets installed on the tractor. The brackets on the buzz saw were probably to tighten the belt as well and make it run on the pulleys straight. Chainsaws took the place of the buzz saws so not many people use them anymore. I still have one in the barn that I haven't used for years since the chainsaw is so much more handy. That's just my guess. Dick
