Lost a gentleman in the neighborhood. He was brush hogging last Friday evening. No one knows what exactly happened but something caused him to get off the tractor and the unit ran over him. He died Sunday in the hospital. Probably doing something we all have done and he had done several times. My neighbor was rakeing hay for me Saturday just like he has for the past two years (he's67)turned the 165 Massey and New Holland rake in such a tight circle that he tore the fender and bracket it's bolted to off the tractor and broke the reel housing off the rake. He said he couldn't get his foot on the clutch but I kinda think he blacked out for a second. He was acting kinda off all afternoon, but we really didn't think about it till after it was all over. We could'bve been burying him this week too. Jus never know what will happen. Take care guys and do be careful. Keith

The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
