I posted a while back asking about the A/C system in my JD 4450. Thanks to all who responded trying to help.
I found a great site, apairinc dot com, that has specific A/C information listed by make and model of tractor. By selecting my tractor, it listed the possible compressors, amount and type of oil required for the system as well as the 134a capacity. For my JD4450, it requires 11 oz of PAG 46 oil and 3.25 lbs of 134a.
apairinc also offers many replacement A/C parts searchable under the tractor's mfg part numbers. I was able to purchase all the hoses I needed to convert my tractor to 134a as well as an upgrade kit to control the clutch. Prices are comparable to A&I but they have many more A/C parts. Also, service was very prompt. I ordered at noon on Monday and all the parts were here on Wednesday (Iowa to TX).
Again, thanks for all your help. Hope the info I provided can help someone in return.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
