Own use/ the fun of it is no different really now, at some point ya gonna loose money. Most places you can find a tractor in a collector sale that's not rare,is restored, new tires and stuff for less than doing you own one you just drive it.
A few widows have found that out round here with prices. what they thought the collection was worth, and what they ended up with when the hammer dropped.
I spoke to a guys wife the other day, he wants to sell, in the next year or so. she figures he'd be better dead first, as he's gonna be disappointed with the price he gets now l.o.l.
The best thing now is let someone else take the hit on the parts and time then save your money for the worse times that are looking like coming.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
