LAA said: (quoted from post at 05:12:52 08/26/13) The quoted stats pretty well tell the story,
1 crash and 755 traffic tickets and 27 DUI"s -- it was not about public safety it was about generating income for the city and state off of majority out of towners so there won"t be any political fallout. I bet that one thing the vast majority of the attendees had in common was they had a JOB, I venture that guess because that is not a cheap hobby, so called ""law enforcement"" is primarily interested in people who can pay fines, thats why the dope heads and welfare winos can run up and down the road in POS vehicles without insurance, sticker or anything else that is mandatory for the rest of us. Those cops never think of the economic benefit to their town generated by the money those visitors spend and they don"t care because as public employees they are accountable to no one this day and time.
I spent over 20 years as a cop, some of it policing events like this, 2 of the Woodstock Anniversary festivals, various sporting events, etc. I can assure you that your post is 99.99% horse puckey in my area. Most of the time it was all we could do to keep the drunken retards from engaging in outright rioting. But I guess riots should be allowed to happen because they are such revenue generators for the local businesses.......

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
