MARK Part II, Good news: It brings in about $2 million + fines. People at the fair grounds are well behaved. No reports of anyone getting hurt at the event. It is somewhat of a family event, peddle tractor tractor pull. They have all kinds of events, google it, diesel drag racing at the track, truck pulls, people bring campers, stay at the fair grounds and make a 3 day event. The people who put it have a diesel repair business. I think it great that a business can make such an event that grows every year.
The bad news is a result of activities outside the fair grounds. It is almost like spring break at Dayton, girls and guys gone wild in the back of trucks in local business parking lots. After hours, one parking lot was closed and guarded.
Arrests may have been lower because our jail has an over crowding problem. There were less than 40 open beds and our jail is in trouble with the ACLU for over crowding
Guess you could say all the problems revolve around young hormones, beer, under age drinking, lots of black diesel smoke, reckless driving on the streets and in parking lots.
