Didn't want to hijack the goat thread as it was pretty good so here's another.
Salesman was driving down a long stretch of country road when he saw a three legged chicken standing on the side. As he passed the chicken started to run alongside him. The salesman looked down at his speedometer and saw he was doing around 35 and the chicken was right even with is door.
So, he decided to see just how fast the chicken could run so he sped up to 55 and looked out the door again. Sure enough therw was the chicken, loping along and easily keeping pace with him.
He was amazed at what he was seeing already, but decided to bump up the speed a bit more. When he hit 75, sure enough the chicken was still right there along side.
He decided to give it one more try and began to speed up even more when the chicken put on a sudden, massive burst of speed, ran out ahead of him and crossed the road, and then disappeared down this long gravel driveway.
Being inqiusitive at heart the salesman had to find out more about that three legged chicken so he slowed down and turned onto the gravel drive where he had just seen the chicken run.
He drove down quite a ways before coming out in a clearing where there was a small farm. He stopped and got out of the car just as the farmer came around the corner of the barn. The two exchanged the usual greetings, which of course included the farmer asking the man if he could help him with anything.
Well, the salesman explained his story about the three legged chicken to the farmer and asked if he knew anything about it. Yep, said the farmer, I bred them myself. You see, I've got three kids and all of them like the leg, so I special breed them with three legs so my kids can all have thier favorite piece.
The salesman, already amazed by the chicken itself was even more amazed that the farmer was able to breed them all by himself, and as inquisitive as he was got to wondering how such a special chicken might taste.....So he asked...
Well said the farmer, we're not rightly sure how one of them tastes....You see the critters are so danged fast we've never been able to catch on of them to find out........
