A former employer of mine chopped for his herd for many years with a turbocharged Ford 5000 and a Fox 2 row. That was back at a time when getting Fox parts was no problem. A neighbor would use it one day a year to fill a small silo for beef herd and their MF 1100 didn't labor at all with it. Like JD Seller said, just get the right machine that isn't obsolete.
