This time of year, you should be able to get a good deal on a good used mower. Most are pretty god but I would stay away from any Murray mowers.. I feel the Int'l Cub mowers are built too light for what we do. Dixon mowers are good mowers and have held up well for us. Best of all we have have been the old Bowlins QT-16 and 17.. we have 3 that are over 30 years old and still take a beating every week..

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
