Alan. Reminds me of the time we blew out a tire on the 1 ton ford. Took one of the rears off and put it up front so we could drive another 20 miles into Rice Lake to the CO-OP .Sign out front said "Special on tires". Well good for us. Went inside and talked with the manager who said"I seen you limp in with that 3 legged dog" We don't do split rims and the price of that tire will cost ya 150.00 plus tax. Place was full of customers who busted out laughing when I told him I could by a new tire for 1/3 the cost at Farm & Fleet. His reply was "they will only last 1/2 as long as our tire" some customers doubled over when I said "Thats alright, I'll ONLY DRIVE IT HALF AS MUCH". Told My son" Lets get outa here. Didn't want the deed and abstract to this store, only wanted a tire. They do remember us . We got new front tires for our 706 at a reduced rate at the same CO-OP GO FIGURE!!! We got a new tire for the 706 and a used rim. Put two new tubes in the rear tires, boxed old tubes up. We are good to go for a while. If you were close enough I would give you the best tube we removed( no Patches on it) for free. Regards LOU
