A week ago I talked to a farmer who lives north of Carroll IA and he said they've only had a few drops since June 21. Since our conversation they had an inch but it's too late to help them. My little neighborhood usually is shorted for rain but this summer we haven't been shorted as much as others have. We've had about 2 3/4" total from six rains in the past seven weeks. The sandy places aren't good at all but the low spots might do a respectable yield IF the frost holds off another month or more. I was in Missouri Valley Ia a couple of days ago and their corn looks very good. There's no browning at all, in fact it looks a little too green for this time of year. Jim
