So far today, I managed to fix the spreader long enough to spread the remains of the load after yesterday"s breakdown. Two more breakdowns today. Just finished patching the last - donno if I want to go out and see if my welding will hold or not. Believe it or not, the cast pitman arm that runs the rachet snapped. Think when the beater chain jumped, it took the arm as well, "cause it was jammed behind it. Not supposed to be able to weld cast, but I did anyway. (You can do a lot of unusual things with a wire welder.) We"ll see if it holds. I should have stayed in bed.
