When I was 12 my step father took me up into the cab of the UP BIG BOY the largest steam engine ever built I have an HO gauge model of it with sound. When I lived in Loomis, CA as a kid I used to watch the two big Malley's pull 80 cars full of fruit out of town heading over the Sierra's taking it back to the east coast. We could hear the whistles as they went through Auburn 8 miles away while sleeping in the back yard at my grandparent. With the Coyotes on the hill and the trains it was a great time to remember. Grandmother said she lived from the horse and buggy to a man on the Moon, I can say I lived from the great steam age to the diesels pulling trains. You don't forget things like that. Walt Davies.
