That is funny, however would not have been funny if an innocent motorist or pedestrian had been hurt or killed, which happens in high speed chases.
I never will forget many years ago cresting a hill and seeing a guy , in my lane passing a line of cars coming toward me. I instantly drove off the road into the ditch. As I sat there the idiot passed me followed by 5 or 6 police cars in pursuit. None of the police stopped to check on me but they all nodded and waved as they passed.
Luck me as I was not hurt and no vehicle damage. Other lucky thing I was close to home so didn't take long to go back home for clean underwear ! ☺ ☺
