If you"re looking for a 7 footer, consider a DRUM mower. I got one to replace my sickle bars, and never looked back. Can cut as fast as you want to ride, no clogging, blades cost $10 a set, and take 10 minutes to change. Gear train is up overhead, and pretty much bullet proof. If you strike rocks, probably the worst damage you"ll see is to the blades. Because it"s fairly heavy, you"ll want a tractor with some heft, or extra weights. My MF 180 is a great match.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
