I'd say like Bob, if this is mechanical, there's no cheap way out. So do the filters, hey too fine, and it could slow down flow enough to steal power, best to add, change fluid as recommend by the loader co, as a couple posts earlier this month, there may be a different in performance- and be sure there isn't air getting in the system, a little suction will kill all the power, check the fittings, joints and follow any drips.
