First thanks for the responses. I'll look into the master cylinder ideas. The truck has a 3.55 rear axle. The largest tractor I haul is a Farmall H with no fluid in the tires or wheel weights. Otherwise it is a 1937 JD B or a 1940 JD H, both in the 2700 lb. range. I use a 16' tandem axle trailer. On reasonably level country it does pretty well in OD at 65mph. Any slower and it falls on its face on a grade, just doesn't have the low end torque my old '91 4.9L six had. On 2 lane roads I run 55-60 in 4(direct) just fine. Just don't plan on passing any thing but an Amishman. The marginal towing capacity is compensated for by great mileage, about 22 on the highway, unloaded.
