I'm not sure about those hyd. clutches either. Too bad they didn't make the parts easy to get at from the outside.
When I put the 460 in our 1981 F350 I cut the hyd. cyl. ear off the bellhousing and drilled a pivot ball mount hole where the old manual linkage was.I wanted to keep the manual linkage. I still used the same clutch disk and pressure plate as they were in good shape. Problem is it pushes really hard and the older I get the harder it is to work it. But it has been in there a long time and not given any problems.
