As I think I've said before on this forum, when Caller ID indicates a telemarketer, I just answer the phone in Japanese and talk in Japanese. It drives them nuts!
Actually, I'm not that fluent in Japanese, if two native Japanese were carrying on a conversation, I wouldn't be able to follow it. But I know enough of the language to harass telemarketers.
