Easiest and quickest way to identify a series IV from previous models is on the right side of the tractor where the belt pulley would be mounted. If it has several hydraulic lines coming out of the opening where the belt pulley was previously mounted, then it's a Series IV. Different hydraulics. Live any time engine is running and high volume, low pressure versus the series I, II, III which was controlled by the power director and low volume, high pressure. If you see a flat plate or a belt pulley there, then it's an earlier model (not a Series IV).
