That happened here some years back, darned Raccoon got up there. I've heard of squirrels doing it too, sort of a non frequent thing, but happens.
I like when the power company has the tree outfits in to clear around the lines, some of what they do is odd, as one tree on the circuit here, that lost a huge limb 6-27-07 during an intense storm, (did not forget that date, we were out for 12 hours or so)stretched the primary wires about to the ground, was like something out of a Wile E Coyote cartoon. This tree is decayed, old and really at the end of its life, they left another bigger limb so it can fall and do the same thing. You'd have thought they'd have taken care of it, coordinated with the homeowner if need be, its very close to the lines. Don't matter to me now as I have solar back up power, I do not even notice when it goes off for the most part, not to brag or be ignorant, you'd think they would save themselves the trouble in fair weather, vs a storm LOL !
