I don't feel that 15 to 45 minutes per night is too much. I had homework of some kind from the time I started school. In elementary it may have been just practice my spelling words or recite the multiplication tables, from grade five on there was considerable homework. High school carried quite a bit for the first three years but I had "study hall" a free period that I would work on it, and that helped. Mom and Dad were always willing to coach me if I hit a snag, they didn't do it for me, but they would discuss it until I could understand the point. The basic point here is, that I don't agree with parents being REQUIRED to help and then sign off on it. But one has to schedule their time so as to be available to help if needed. At least both you and your wife are there, a luxury many kids do not have.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
